Feeling content

Well, I'm now 26 weeks along with pregnancy number three and I feel great. It's been a strange couple of days as I realise this is the stage at which Tasha was born. I'm happy to be healthy, active and pregnant. It's really a great time to count my blessings.
Baby boy is due at the end of April and I'm having lots of fun gathering stuff for the new addition to the family.

On another note, my love affair with Google docs has been taken to a whole new level this evening as Paul showed me the possibilities for programming it to do exactly what you want. He might make a programmer out of me yet! I use google docs for everything... I've been called the google docs queen by one friend. I'm a bit of an evangelist, to the extent that I just can't understand why the whole world hasn't embraced it like I have. I guess I just need to keep spreading the word. I have Dr Xorile to thank, since he was the one to introduce me to it.

Tried Nigella’s Nutella cheesecake today- absolutely fabulous and so easy! Will definitely appear on our menu again soon.

Tiredness beckons, time to sleep. Bye bye.

Early morning toy soldiers

Pippa has gone off for cross country, so Tasha is using the glorious early morning play time to play toy soldiers.

Smoky

This week has been odd; I first noticed the haze last weekend when the morning sun was a lovely red colour. Since then the haze has ceased to be 'lovely' and more of an annoyance. It's like standing next to a really smoky bonfire for a week - and apparently it's set to continue for another few weeks. Evidently there's some slash-and-burn clearing going on in Indonesia and Singapore gets the smoke from there every year or so. This is the first time we've experienced it - and it's not nice. We've even resorted to turning our air-conditioning on...something we've never done in Singapore. It's quite surreal, it's like a smelly mist that won't lift. We've had friends here this week, it's been nice to come home and chill out with friends from the UK. It feels really good to be able to just pick up where we left off with them, and it's really good to have the space to put people up now. After Alpha last night we were walking back a...

Pregnancy and stuff

How is it that my stomach, once almost a taboo subject, has become public property overnight? Often people's first reaction when they find out I'm pregnant is to stroke or pat my (already expanding) tummy! I guess I'll get used to that over the next few months. Here are the scans we have so far. Photos- Top: Scan at 6 weeks Middle: Scan at 8 weeks Bottom: Scan at 12 weeks Weather It's started to warm up and dry up here again after the monsoon. It's lovely to be able to eat breakfast on the balcony in the sun again. The hoards of ants are back, any morsel left untended is soon found and turns black with the tiny creatures. Wedding We went to a wonderful wedding at the Conrad Centennial hotel on Thursday evening. Two of our freinds from church got hitched after 13 years of on-off dating. It was a touching ceremony (during which, to our surprise, the champagne flowed freely). The meal was great - traditional Chinese wedding fayre - jellyfish, prawns, shark's fin so...
