Back from South Africa

We're back from an awesome trip to South Africa. It was great to catch up with family and friends, as well as seeing the natural beauty of my favourite country again.

Jetlag is playing havoc with little Brynn (now 8.5 months). Hopefully we'll all be back to normal by the weekend.

Paul has posted lots of photos of our trip to  www.paulandcaillie.com if you haven't seen them already.

One notable aspect of our trip was the lack of Internet and cell phone coverage for the last three weeks. It was great to be 'off the grid' for a while.

#plasticfreejuly

In the spirit of reducing plastic this month I've made a couple of great discoveries. A local (NZ) meat and milk provider, that I've been using for a couple of years on account of them selling milk in glass bottles which they collect and reuse, has started selling their meat in compostable packaging. Their meat also just happens to be mighty tasty and they deliver to your doorstep. A great way to reduce 5 or 6 plastic meat trays and associated cling wrap each week. This company are also great to deal with online https://eketahunacountrymeats.co.nz/

Happy days. They all seem to love it. I'm feeling so blessed to have three gorgeous kids.
