Just been reading the old blog and figured it was about time to start writing again. I've just gone sugar-free (again), this time hopefuly for good. I started last Sunday 24th July. I had three awful days of headaches, nausea, hot and cold sweats, body aches and lethargy. However it was all worth it since I now feel fabulous. I have more energy and feel properly awake when I wake up in the morning. I also started exercising again a month ago and that is much easier now I am sugar free. I started by reading ' The sweet poison quit plan' by David Gillespie, it's incredibly compelling and advocates giving up frucose almost completely for all manner of good reasons. I was definitely addicted. Tried making sugar free cookies today using just bananas for sweetness. They tasted sugar free. Would be better as muffins with salted butter. I will keep on experimenting.
