Busy with Easter bonnets

All partied out

Reason for naughtiness that lead to naughty step = tiredness methinks.

My family

Tasha seems to be pretty good at drawing. One of the joys of homeschooling, you can wear whatever you want to school.

Silfai the fairy

Happy little Ikea buddies

First time walking on snow

Freezing cold at 2 degrees ice sculpture exhibition.

Pretty eyelashes

First steps

Started homeschooling this morning. It seems that she is much more advanced than I thought. She whizzed through the reader and worksheets then produced this.

Gardens by the bay playground again

This time with Paul. It seems that our plan to go to the World water day celebrations at marina barrage was a bad one, since the rest of Singapore were already gathered there by 8.30am! We escaped and came to the playground just as it opened. It really is brilliant and free.

Picnic breakfast

Didn't go too far for our croissants picnic this morning. Planned, packed and executed by the girls.

Homeschooling starts on Monday

So, homeschooling (at least for Tasha), starts on Monday, Pippa starts on 7th April .  I've done loads of research, planned a curriculum (http://allinonehomeschool.com/), got sets of early readers (BOB books, Wow, Biff and Chip) and generally put a lot of thought into it (planning educational outings, groupon deals for art and music classes etc). However it still seems like I've no idea how it will go until I start doing it. It's quite nerve wracking, akin to starting a new job.  I'm excited by the challenge and the kids also seem excited by the prospect.  I'm guessing there'll be a few homeschooling posts on this blog going forward.

Frisbee at the playground

At the dog run

My lovely friend Dudleen passed this backpack to us. We're testing it out at the dog run today. Reminds me of bronze Duke of Edinburgh expeditions in the new forest!

Monday morning before school

Always time for a quick Lego session.

Tasha wrote her name

I love the mirror writing on the first line. This is a good start since I'll be homeschooling her from the end of next week. She's sporting quite an impressive graze on her face today, after running down a hill and falling over yesterday. Poor  Tasha.

6 year olds are awesome

This was written by Pippa this morning after a fun field trip to the botanic gardens yesterday. Lucky teacher.

Loving the Nutella pancakes

Shrove Tuesday classic. Love the way Brynn used his pancake as a snuggle blanket.
